The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Data Analyst to join our Data and AI Engineering team. This role is ideal for those who are passionate about transforming raw data into actionable insights, uncovering patterns that drive business decisions, and building data-driven narratives that matter.
You'll work with cross-functional teams to design analytics solutions, create compelling visualizations, and support evidence-based decision-making across life sciences projects. Whether you're analysing clinical trial data, operational metrics, or business performance, we welcome analysts who thrive in collaborative, curiosity-driven environments and can translate complex datasets into clarity.


Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI that provide clear insights to stakeholders and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Build ETL pipelines and data transformations using Python to prepare and process structured and unstructured data.
  • Analyse large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, patterns, and opportunities for optimisation or improvement.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers and Business Stakeholders to understand analytical requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Create reusable data models and calculationsin Power BI and supporting data infrastructure to enable self-service analytics.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) and statistical analysis using Python (pandas, NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn).
  • Document data lineage, assumptions, and methodologies to ensure transparency and reproducibility in analytical work.
  • Support data quality initiatives, identify data issues, and collaborate on data governance improvements.
  • Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences with clarity and impact.
  • Apply good practices around testing, version control, and documentation for analytical code and models.

Core Experience & Skills
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI: creating dashboards, reports, measures, and data models (DAX knowledge preferred).
  • Solid proficiency in Python for data analysis and manipulation (pandas, NumPy, matplotlib/seaborn for visualization).
  • Experience with SQL for querying and manipulating relational databases.
  • Demonstrable data-driven mindset: ability to ask the right questions, validate assumptions, and support decisions with evidence.
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data in analytical contexts.
  • Comfortable with exploratory data analysis and using statistical techniques to uncover insights.
  • Understanding of data visualization principles and ability to communicate insights clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Team-first mindset and experience in agile environments (Scrum or Kanban).
  • Professional working proficiency in English (our internal and client-facing working language).
Requirements - Nice to have
  • Experience with clinical trial data, healthcare analytics, or regulated industry datasets.
  • Familiarity with advanced Python libraries (scikit-learn, statsmodels) for statistical modeling and machine learning.
  • Knowledge of Git/version control for collaborative analytics projects.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and cloud-native analytics tools.
  • Exposure to agile analytics methodologies or analytics engineering principles.
  • Background with data governance, data quality frameworks, or master data management.
  • Understanding of GxP compliance, or other regulated industry standards.
  • Experience with Tableau, Looker, or other BI platforms (transferable skills welcome).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric for end-to-end analytics and data platform solutions.
  • Spanish and/or Catalan language skills.
